Polyethylene

Simple and inexpensive to manufacture, PEs are the most common plastic material. Polyethylene ropes are chemically inert (it is more resistant to strong oxidants than polypropylene), easy to handle and resistant to cold. They are relatively elastic (up to 30%), having good UV resistance.
