The Liros Hercules Vision is a high‑quality braided polyester rope with a 32‑strand cover, offering a smooth, round, and highly stable construction. With a diameter of 8 mm and a modern grey/blue design, it combines durability, performance, and a contemporary look.
As an evolution of the classic LIROS Herkules, the Vision model retains all the well‑known technical qualities of the range while introducing a more modern aesthetic. The polyester construction ensures excellent resistance to abrasion, UV exposure, and mechanical stress, making it a reliable rope for intensive use in marine environments.
The Liros Hercules Vision is particularly easy and pleasant to handle. Its braided construction prevents the rope from kinking, even under heavy load or after repeated maneuvers. Its compact, round shape provides outstanding performance on winches and very secure grip in rope clutches. It is also well suited for splicing and for creating hybrid halyards.
Thanks to its versatility, it can be used as:
Halyard
Sheet
Reefing line
It is suitable for yachts of all sizes, from small cruising sailboats to large yachts equipped with high‑load winches. Its robustness, stability, and comfort make it a dependable rope for all essential onboard maneuvers.
What is polyester rope? Polyester rope is rope made from polyester fibres, a synthetic material. Polyester ropes are particularly popular in many sectors, including the nautical industry, sport, climbing, as well as industrial and agricultural applications. What is it used for? Polyester ropes are used in a variety of fields thanks to their specific properties. They can be used for : 1. Boating and sailing: Polyester ropes are water, moisture and weather resistant, making them ideal for marine applications. 2. Climbing: Because of their wear resistance and low elasticity, they are also used for climbing and mountaineering. 3. Transport: They can be used for lifting, mooring and fastening systems. 4. Agriculture and industry: For heavy-duty work, polyester ropes are used in traction systems or as support for agricultural equipment. 5. Accessories and decoration: Sometimes used to create decorative objects or textile products such as bags, belts, etc. Characteristics of polyester ropes Here are the main characteristics of polyester ropes: 1. Strength: Polyester ropes are strong and tensile resistant. They can withstand heavy loads, making them suitable for applications where strength is crucial. 2. Durability: Polyester ropes are resistant to weather, UV and mould. They do not degrade rapidly when exposed to moisture or sunlight. 3. Low elasticity: Compared to nylon ropes, polyester ropes have low elasticity. They do not stretch much under pressure, which can be an advantage or a disadvantage depending on the application. 4. Abrasion resistance: Polyester ropes have good abrasion resistance, which means they last a long time, even in harsh environments. 5. Chemical resistance: Polyester resists chemicals well, making it a good choice for industrial applications where aggressive substances may be present. 6. Lightweight: Compared with other types of rope, polyester rope is relatively light but still strong. In short, polyester rope is a highly versatile and durable product, used in many fields because of its exceptional strength and durability.
