Polypropylene rope is a synthetic rope resistant to UV, relatively inelastic (lengthening less than 10%) and subject to a wide range of use: DIY, gardening, camping, ... It is interesting for some uses in the navy because it is a floating rope, insensitive to many chemical agents and resistant to mold.
