This glossy linen string can be used for all kinds of DIY and decoration projects. This natural fibre is quite strong. The glossy linen string is treated with a product to make it smoother and ensure that the natural fibres “stick” to the string. This string and others in the same range are available from Smits-Henin.
Linen is one of the first cultivated species in history. Stems of linen are extracted from the fibers of which textiles are made: ropes, fabrics, canvases. Flax is used in some insulation materials, the seeds can be consumed as such. Linen is also transformed into oil or high-end paper. The linen used in our ropes and our straps is grown mainly in Belgium or in the north of France.
