This imitation hemp rope is made from textured polypropylene staple fibres (also known as synthetic hemp-look rope or Spleitex®). This twisted rope is ideal for both outdoor and indoor use. Synthetic hemp rope offers excellent value for money, is easy to handle, highly waterproof, lightweight and buoyant. However, this product is not particularly resistant to abrasion or high temperatures. Although synthetic hemp rope is visually and tactilely almost indistinguishable from natural hemp rope, it does offer certain advantages: it is odourless, does not absorb moisture (such as sweat from hands), is more resistant and can be cleaned with a damp cloth, making it very easy to maintain.
