The I'D S is a self-braking descender designed for work-at-height and difficult-access operations. Easy to use and highly intuitive, it features an ergonomic handle that provides smooth and precise descent control. Its integrated anti-panic function automatically stops the descent if the user pulls too hard on the handle, enhancing overall safety. Rope installation is quick and straightforward thanks to the locking side plate, clear rope-routing markings and an error-catching mechanism that helps prevent incorrect rope installation. The AUTO-LOCK function allows users to position themselves easily at the work station without tying off the rope; as soon as the handle is released, the rope is automatically locked within the device. Highly versatile, the I'D S also allows rope take-up while locked, facilitates short rope ascents, can be integrated into rescue systems and can be fitted with an additional braking device to improve descent control under varying loads. A stainless-steel wear plate protects the rope friction area and significantly increases durability. Compatible with 10 to 11.5 mm ropes, the I'D S is rated for loads up to 140 kg in standard use and up to 272 kg in rescue applications. Available at La Corderie in Ixelles, Belgium.
