The STOP is an assisted-braking caving descender designed to provide excellent control during rope descents. Compatible with 8.5 to 11 mm semi-static ropes, it simplifies rope manoeuvres, including passing rebelays, while ensuring smooth and controlled descents. Its assisted braking system enhances safety by improving descent control and reducing user effort. The ergonomically designed handle, positioned towards the user, provides a comfortable grip and allows easy rope release, while the handle’s mechanical advantage ensures comfort during long descents. The opening side plate with locking catch enables quick rope installation without disconnecting the device from the harness. A rope installation diagram engraved on the descender helps ensure proper setup in the field. Its elongated attachment hole accommodates a FREINO Z carabiner, helping prevent accidental loss of the device during gear transfers. Built for durability, the STOP features a stainless-steel cam and pulley that offer exceptional wear resistance over time.
