Natural and biodegradable, this sisal rope is the ideal rope for scouts. These sisal coils are part of the scouting accessory (just like velvet shorts, shirts or hats). Sisal is the perfect material to make quality braids for constructions. This strong sisal twine is also used to tie nets on scaffolding or to pack boxes. La Corderie (Brussels) sells these balls of sisal by the piece for a small fee in its shop or via its website.
Highly resistant, this fiber is used to make rope, coarse fabrics and carpets. It is extracted from agave, originally in Mexico, but today cultivated mainly in Brazil, Tanzania and Kenya.
