For plant and garden enthusiasts, sisal is a plant native to Mexico whose fibres are both eco‑friendly and durable. This high‑quality sisal rope can be purchased by the metre or by the spool at the Corderie (Brussels).
Highly resistant, this fiber is used to make rope, coarse fabrics and carpets. It is extracted from agave, originally in Mexico, but today cultivated mainly in Brazil, Tanzania and Kenya.
