This 100% natural linen rope is ideal for clockwork and is very pleasant to the touch, so it is ideal for bondage or shibari. Like hemp, sisal and cotton, linen is a biodegradable product with a low elongation. This rope is ideal for macramé, decoration and stretching the skin of drums. Made in Belgium, this linen rope is sold by the metre or by the spool at La Corderie (Brussels).
Linen is one of the first cultivated species in history. Stems of linen are extracted from the fibers of which textiles are made: ropes, fabrics, canvases. Flax is used in some insulation materials, the seeds can be consumed as such. Linen is also transformed into oil or high-end paper. The linen used in our ropes and our straps is grown mainly in Belgium or in the north of France.
